1 · Masonry. The existing exterior wall – the base the new build-up sits on.
2 · Adhesive mortar. Bonds the insulation boards to the wall. Anchors additionally fix the boards into the masonry.
3 · Insulation board. The actual thermal protection: keeps heat inside in winter and outside in summer.
4 · Reinforcement mesh. A base coat with embedded glass-fibre mesh. It absorbs stress and helps prevent cracks.
5 · Finish render. The visible layer. Texture and colour of your choice – and protection from rain and weather.
